Where did this notion that the second-gen model is a mid-size CUV come from? In pretty much every dimension, it's the same size as the first-gen, which is unequivocally a full-size CUV. This very article also states that Buick already has a mid-size, in the Envision. Yes, there is a such thing as a three-row mid-size CUV, slotted between the two-row mid-size and the full-size, but that segment is better suited to CUVs with a shorter than 115" wheelbase, like the Pilot/MDX, Highlander, Sorento, Santa Fe, Pathfinder/QX60, or even the new mid-size Acadia and the upcoming mid-size Chevy CUV.
Is it because the new Traverse/Enclave shares the C1XX platform with the now-mid-size Acadia? Is it because the Buick website markets it as a mid-size, despite already having a mid-size? I found that the Chevy Traverse article also has this same error. I would have gone ahead and edited both articles to better reflect this, but I wanted to make sure there was no debate first. 142.54.26.44 (talk) 17:15, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Buick is calling it a mid-size SUV (official page: [1]). They call the Envision a "small luxury SUV". These are the segments that Buick wants the Envision and Enclave to compete in. It doesn't help that the new Enclave is no smaller than the old one. I'd say that, unless we find some reliable sources calling the 2018 Enclave full-size, we'll have to call it mid-size here to match GM. --Vossanovao<21:12, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
