Proposed move
[edit]Buckwheat Boys to Buckwheat Boyz. That's how the name of the band is actually spelled, so it should be there. Notice how Limp Bizkit is correctly at that title and not at Limp Biscuit. Voortle 22:42, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
MySpace Page authenticity?
[edit]I'm not convinced that the MySpace page linked to from here is actually by the band. The where-are-they-now section seems dubious, and two of the songs seem totally different... -- ToastyKen 03:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Fuller death needs a bit more info
[edit]The way it's worded now, it implies Fuller died in a shootout, but according to the cited news coverage, the police found him dead of either a self-inflicted wound or one sustained earlier; they denied firing at him during the standoff. I did a google search but was unable to find a follow-up story to suggest whether an autopsy indicated the official cause, but maybe someone else has a source with that information. 136.159.160.8 (talk) 19:29, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Regular Show
[edit]I don't see any actual appearance on The Regular Show of Peanut Butter Jelly Time, should someone remove it? Add1ctedToGames (talk) 19:33, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
Removal of "Disbandment" section about Fuller's death
[edit]I removed the section about Jermaine Fuller's death per WP:BLP because I was not able to connect him to the Buckwheat Boyz. I strongly suspect they're different people because:
- Shante and Snoop Dogg are from California, near Las Vegas, but Buckwheat Boyz are from Miami
- Later Las Vegas Sun articles spell the name as "Germaine E. Fuller"[1][2]
For what it's worth, here's a comment on Reddit expressing the same doubt, by user finalbellyache. [archive]
By the way, I saw some discussion that DJ Chipman sang Peanut Butter & Jelly and not Fuller.

- I just noticed the article doesn't even mention the band members anymore, including Fuller's name. I checked the cited AllMusic page and it doesn't list the band members either. I checked the article as of 15 December 2021, when I last commented, and it looks like they were uncited at that time. Where did they come from? — W.andrea (talk) 14:51, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- They were added in this edit on 23 December 2009, without a citation. In fact, the whole article was uncited at that time. — W.andrea (talk) 21:11, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

this entire article is apparently wrong
[edit]apparently, the buckwheat boyz did not create the songs "peanut butter jelly time" or "ice cream and cake" and all the references are wrong.. please read this entire post before jumping to any hasty decisions. a youtuber named "wavywebsurf" recently posted a an explanation and retraction of sorts as to why he privated a video of his that claimed the same information this article is currently claiming, stating that he was notified by numerous commentors that it was completely incorrect information and the person who is actually responsible for making both songs is "dj chipman" from south florida.. his channel contains live performances of these and other songs he has apparently created, and there is no reason not to at least investigate this matter to the fullest extent of our capabilities.
apparently, snoop doggs cousin or brother in law or whatever never had anything to do with it. here is a link to wavywebsurfs youtube channel if you would like to read the community post from 9.21.2022, i will also paste it below: https://www.youtube.com/c/wavywebsurf/community
and here is a link to the actual creators channel where you can find more information: https://youtube.com/user/djchipman69
here is what wavywebsurf said about the incident, and although it may not be enough to be considered rs, it should definitely be enough to at least throw suspicion onto the original article, calling for an honest éattempt to reestablish contact with the alleged actual creator for verification:

i dont know of a better way to inform wikipedia that an entire article might be incorrect, so im posting the available new information here, please do with it as you see fit, or do nothing at all and allow "confirmation bias and sloppy research" to remain triumphant and a false story to continue to live. i dont know, nor do i have any connections to, any of the people mentioned above, i simply prefer the actual truth over anything less than that, and i would hope other wikipedia editors would want the same thing, and if you were dj chipman, and you were the person wtgwrote those, you would probably appreciate a litte bit of recognition too.
thank you for your time. Snarevox (talk) 18:46, 23 September 2022 (UTC) Edited 20:11, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
