According to [1] for the Brooklyn Central Railroad: "Proposed line, Fifth Avenue through Greenwood and Flatbush, through Lexington, Lafayette and Gates Avenues to the Broadway Railroad, and through Furman Street to Wall Street and Fulton Ferries" --NE2 07:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
In 1874, Furman Street was part of the Brooklyn City Railroad, but Atlantic Avenue and Fifth Avenue were not: [2] --NE2 10:45, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
The Brooklyn Traction Company apparently bought the stock of the Atlantic Avenue Railroad and Brooklyn, Bath and West End Railroad in 1893. The Nassau Electric Railroad owned the Atlantic Avenue Railroad; the Nassau Electric was leased to the Brooklyn Heights Railroad (BRT streetcars) in 1899. The Atlantic Avenue Railroad operated the Greenwood and Coney Island Railroad. The Greenwood and Coney Island Railroad and Park Avenue Horse Railroad merged in 1874 to form the Prospect Park and Coney Island Railroad, which leased the New York and Coney Island Railroad in 1879, and which the Atlantic Avenue Railroad bought in 1885 or 1887. It was leased to the Brooklyn Heights Railroad in 1899. The South Brooklyn Railway leased the New York and Coney Island Railroad, Prospect Park and South Brooklyn Railroad, and Prospect Park and Coney Island Railroad. The Atlantic Avenue Railroad acquired the South Brooklyn Central Railroad in 1885. --NE2 10:55, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
