Fair use rationale for Image:Singsnswings.jpg

[edit]

Image:Singsnswings.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Lack of reception

[edit]

Unfortunately, Family Guy episodes received very little reception compared to other TV programmes, so for those interested, i understand the reception section is very brief, however, this is nothing I can do about it. So please bear the is mind, should a situation arise when it becomes a problem. Qst 12:49, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    Pass/Fail:

The cultural refs section and reception are short, but I'll give this a pass, owing to the lack of reception and cultural refs associated with this episode. Consider criteria 3a a pass with reservations. --Maxim(talk) 20:51, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well written? How about this literary abortion: "Scripts and other production material was altered and modified extensively, as because it featured musial performances, the rhythm and such had to be rewrote repeatedly." Good grief, I'd RM the entire paragraph if it wasn't cited. Captain Infinity (talk) 03:22, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've tried cleaning this up. I've reduced the incidences of "however" from 12 to 7, but that's still far too many. Spelling errors abounded. There's no way this article approaches GA status; it should be razed to the ground and completely rewritten. Captain Infinity (talk) 03:41, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I beg to differ, it is of GA status, but if you could indicate some areas which you feel are substandard, I will get to work on them, and I'll take a look at this later today. Qst 05:38, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it's looking pretty good right now. Personally, I find large slabs of text to be rather impenetrable. Breaking them down into smaller paragraphs improves readability, but it's a matter of taste and if you, as the article owner, feel the larger paragraphs work better I won't argue. Cultural references section

[edit]

I can't find any references to a 1969 film titled High Time. Could this possibly be the 1960 film High Time (film)? If so, which song was performed? And in which 1973 film was it also used? These blanks need filling in. --ShelfSkewed Talk 06:00, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

how about the real estate infomercial: "How come you not sell real estate like I do" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.212.181.36 (talk) 15:17, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mia Farrow was in fact Frank Sinatra Jr's step-mother for awhile even though she's younger than him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.163.130.102 (talk) 07:26, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deep river blues by Doc Watson

[edit]

Is it just me or is the first song that they sing with Stewie, Deep River Blues by Doc Watson? Just with different lyrics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.185.2.225 (talk) 01:17, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Section

[edit]

The plot section has drifted over into the intro...personally I think all plot info needs to be deleted, rewritten and reinserted in whatever appropiate order. Lots42 (talk) 13:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rewritten in that even if all the plot info was in the same place, it is much too long. Lots42 (talk) 13:12, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Reassessment

[edit]
This discussion is transcluded from Talk:Brian Sings and Swings/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.
Again, lots of unsourced claims in the 'Cultural References'. This is probaly the main reaosn why I have listed this for GAR. The guest stars part in the infobox is not fully complete. Also, just wondering, why does this image have a promotional image, not a screenshot? Is there anyting significant about the episode? Although the Reception is short, like said above, hardly any critics commented on it. Here is the exmaple of the mix between Production and Cultural:

In the Production section, "The scene where Meg sees Chris in the bathroom parodies the scene from The Empire Strikes Back where Darth Vader has his helmet placed on his head." Shouldnt that be in the Cultural references section?

On hold for 7 days, if the actions are completed in that time, I will do a full re-assessment. MayhemMario 17:12, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has been on hold for more than 7 days and no action has been taken. Failed. MayhemMario 16:51, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
