Died in the 1990s?

I found a probate announcement from 1998 for a Brian Clarence Hill. There's no mention of occupation other than that he was retired, but the name seems uncommon enough for it to possibly be him - https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112359597/the-sydney-morning-herald/.
