The debated material

[edit]

I'm not replacing the material because I want to venture speculation about Shinji and Asuka's relationship; the material is straight out of the episode. Asuka threatens Shinji, but can't get to sleep herself. Shinji pretends to be asleep when he hears her door open. She flops down beside him and is immediately out. He watches her for a few seconds, then leans in to kiss her, but just as his lips are about to meet hers, she starts mumbling about her mother. Shinji gets mad, says something to the effect of "You're just a child, too", turns his back to her, and goes to sleep. This is even part of their bickering at the end of the episode. (see here). I'll be reviewing this article.Tintor2 (talk) 21:41, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lead
  • Everything looks well. The premise of the episode could be trimmed a bit like "The episode follows two Nerv mecha pilots who must"
Plot
  • I wouldn't link countries since they are common links
Production
  • Any comedic example?
I could not find anything in the cited sources. I could add examples, but I am afraid it would almost be a POV.
  • "Hasegawa took care of the scene in which Shinji tries to kiss Asuka" I remember this scene but I wonder if it's trivial to show or, if not, mention it in the plot section.
Cultural references and themes
  • There are comments about Misato and Kaiji's relationship but it is never elaborated in the plot despite its importance. It might be less trivial if you added an example there.

Reception seems well but the plot might be benefitted more if one of those interactions between Shinji and Asuka are mentioned at least in one or two sentences. @TeenAngels1234: That's all with this article review. Ping me once you solve the issues and I'll pass it.Tintor2 (talk) 23:31, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: Done. Hope it works.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 19:49, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Plot" section

[edit]

Asuka moved in with Misato & Shinji after the initial defeat against the Angels, so I think that fact should be moved to the end of the paragraph. Perhaps something else from the first minutes of the episode should be added to the beginning of it instead, such as her first encounter with Rei? Also I don't think it's very fitting to refer to the things the Angel splits into as "individuals", since that word is usually associated with human beings. Maybe "entities", or just "halves" instead? Peilled (talk) 00:02, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with everything. I wrote "individuals" because technically Angels are actually said in EoE to be human beings, or at least a possible evolution of them, but this is probably something to be taken cum grano salis and not literally. "Entities" I think is fine.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 12:08, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
