Sources
[edit]This article needs some sources. There are currently zero. I'm sure a wiki editor into hip-hop could do a quick reference addition at least if they don't want to fix the whole article.Lgnlint (talk) 03:32, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
University Edit
[edit]I have contributed approximately 1200 words to this article and I intend to add around 800 more words over the coming days. This article is a part of a University project of mine, however, I have chosen this article because the style of music interests me! I have so far added sections for History, the beat, lyrics, sampling, and the decline of boom bap. Johndvandevert Thank you for your contribution to the modern legacy of Boom Bap. Would you be able to possibly provide an extra reference or two for the first two sentences of the paragraph? I feel the mention of Wish Master and the micro-resurgence could use some further evidence to back it up. Thanks again Teddybear255 (talk) 02:11, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Your work is phenomenal! I will be sure to add more regarding the resurgence. I found it via another rapper's involvement, and can substantiate it further. Johndvandevert (talk) 02:37, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
I'm pleased to see this article has been upgraded to B class. My university course in digital writing and Wikipedia editing is coming to an end, So I won't be contributing too much more to the article from now on. However, please feel free to ask me here or on my talk page for any extra information you believe is required or an explanation for any of the sources I have used. Boom Bap Revival?
[edit]I found that the "modern usages" part of the page to be dated and incorrect. As of late, artists such as the members of Griselda, Armand Hammer, and The Alchemist among others are leading a Boom Bap revival and I feel that the article should go more in depth about it. Infobox music genre should be corrected data
[edit]which I edited in the Infobox music genre, I think important information and clarifications so that the article contains the correct data Dnotob (talk) 14:27, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- You have to support your changes with reliable sources (See WP:RS). You can't change things just because you personally think they are 'important' or 'correct', see WP:NOR. MrOllie (talk) 14:59, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
