Vandalism
[edit]- "Kingston began working on production seriously around 2002 [&] began his solo producing career around 2004." This isn't actually true. Between 2001 and 2004 Kingston produced under the alias 'Orphan' and was the main producer for the Plague Language label/collective, producing many of the tracks on Noah23's albums Neophyte Phenotype (2001), Tau Ceti (2002), Quicksand (2002), Sigma Octantis (2004), Mitochondrial Blues (2004) and Jupiter Sajitarius (2004), and also produced tracks for Baracuda, Penny, Orko and others associated with Plague Language at the time. There's been some kind of falling out between them and Kingston's history with Plague Language is never brought up in BSBD interviews, but it should of course be noted. - A member of the group has repeatedly removed this pertinent and fully referenced information several times now. Again, suggest semi-protecting the article. Wikipedia is not for personal promotion. It is not up to the subject of the article to decide what is "relevant" information. Wetdogmeat (talk) 19:21, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Seattle or SF
[edit]http://fakefourinc.com/artist/blue-sky-black-death says they're based in Seattle. The article says Bay Area. The Dissident Aggressor 21:31, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- From what I can tell, they started in SF and later moved to Seattle. I'm hoping to update this article in the coming month. Matthew Sylvester (talk) 01:46, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Kingston moved to Brooklyn a few years ago (https://web.archive.org/web/20150326020133/https://twitter.com/88ultramusic), no idea where he is now; he retired from music in 2017 (https://twitter.com/GsDodson/status/933384846461882369). Young God is now in Portland (https://twitter.com/0younggod0). -- Forty.4 (talk) 09:44, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for those two sources. I never heard any other source say they were ever based out of Brooklyn, could be this was after Kingston's departure. Thoughts on moving this article into the past tense with Kingston's retirement? AFAIK even though the website and MySpace are gone (both preserved somewhat on IA for citing) the BSBD "brand" is still active, with the Twitter and Facebook chattering every now and then, but this is probably just Young God (https://twitter.com/BSBDmusic/status/1237883846567153666). They did however press Euphoric Tape I in 2019 (https://www.facebook.com/BSBDmusic/posts/3064916033579967), and implied they were planning on doing the same for II and III, and maybe Stonedstrumentals (https://twitter.com/BSBDmusic/status/1072887002201116672).
