Name

[edit]

Hey! So, I'm translating the 'HMHAS' part to portuguese, then I saw Billie's name... It's actually written as "William" lol! Just asking to someone fix it. Thanks! Nandasou (talk) 00:41, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 02:22, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

“Identifies as bisexual”

[edit]

I believe that this should be changed to “is bisexual” as LGBT people do not identify as anything, they simply are. If you wouldn’t say a straight person identifies as straight, why say that somebody who’s bi identifies as it? Veritycode (talk) 00:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did this, if it is reverted, we will find out, but. I did write "Billie is bisexual". Makerofepic (talk) 00:24, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Makerofepic @Veritycode: while still not perfect, I do believe this is somewhat better as from my understanding she has never used a label for herself. Elias / PSA 🏕️🪐 [please make some noise] 02:17, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pirate?

[edit]

I have read some things that mention that pirate is Billie's nickname and not actually her middle name. Anyone found a reputable source that says that pirate is in fact her actual middle name? ~~~~ TechChickCapri (talk) 18:47, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have declined the request for now. Are you talking about the first picture? It is less than 13 months old. You can suggest an alternative here though. You could take a look at c:Category:Billie Eilish or suggest a swap with an existing photo in the article.--Commander Keane (talk) 06:21, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ex and Influences

[edit]

while Matthew Tyler Vorce, her reported boyfriend at the time, received criticism for alleged social media posts in which he used offensive language and slurs against gay and Black people”. This whole sentence should be deleted. I don’t know why is relevant to write something that her ex (an unknown person by the general public) did 10 years before he dated Billie. You don’t see Matty Healy’s controversies written on Taylor Swift’s page, so I don’t know why it would be any different with Billie.

“Other influences include Adele, Earl Sweatshirt, James Blake, Amy Winehouse, the Spice Girls, Lorde, Marina and the Diamonds, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, XXXTentacion, and Twenty One Pilots.”. Artists like Adele, James Blake, the Spice Girls, Lorde, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift were never mentioned as artists that influenced her. In those articles linked Billie only mentions that she grew up listening to their music or a specific song, but she never mentions them as her influences. So either this sentence should be rephrased or deleted. Luh78 (talk) 01:46, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
