Create a film series article
[edit]I think we should create a film series article for Beverly Hills Cop because it seems like a good idea,it's a big franchise and we can properly link the fourth film (in development hell) with the series, as it seems a more appropriate place to put it.--EclipseSSD (talk) 20:14, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Film originally produced
[edit]The film was originally planned and written as a Sly Stallone action vehicle, but Sly demanded a special effect than required too much money to produce, and he walked when it was denied. Eddie was brought in after filming started, and the script was re-written on the fly - with many jokes adlibbed on set. It was originally a straight revenge action movie, and only became a comedy after eddie murphey was brought in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.101.91.122 (talk • contribs)
Where did the name axel foley come frik
[edit]having played california games, the game "footbag" has a very complex trick called the axel foley, could this be the origin of the name of the movie character?
It's probably the other way around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.246.201 (talk) 07:00, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Location
[edit]I was searching the article for information on the locations (aside from the obvious ones) in the movie. More specifically, could anyone verify that the outdoor shoot-out scenes at Victor Maitland's mansion were actually filmed at newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst's 1926, 6.5-acre mansion in Beverly Hills? (...same place as parts of The Godfather were filmed?) Xenophon777 00:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Saving Private Ryan?
[edit]Silvester Stallone have mentioned (auditioning for the movie), that the script of Beverly Hill's Cop was similar to that of Save Private Ryan.
How is this possible, if Beverly Hill's Cop is from 1984, but Dave Private Ryan was filmed 14 years later?

“Buddy cop” movie?
[edit]The lead sentence says it’s a buddy cop movie. The intro section mentions no lead other than Eddie Murphy. Where’s the buddy? The plot summary doesn’t mention a buddy either.
