Well, at least this page isn't a stub anymore. It is, however, rife with POV adjectives and the format leaves a bit to be desired. I've cleared up some simple style problems and tagged it for wikification and for POV editing. Powers 01:55, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Close but no cigar

[edit]

Thumbsucker toned down this article niecly, but got a bit over the top commenting on doing so. Upon his question regarding photos: www.liebrand.com/press Please use credits as noted. Greetings and thanks to Thumbsucker, Ben Liebrand

  • The article still needs a more formal tone, and the names in the discography should be Wikilinked and reported exactly as they appear on the CD, without abbreviations. Don't forget the sources (per WP:V and WP:RS) as without them, the article can be a major target for possibly detrimental action. B.Wind 05:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh come on, like anyone gives a rats ass about the links. This is the internet, hence hyperlinking should be allowed EVERYWHERE. If you want your pedia to exist on this network, you better apply the rules of the net. I have no idea why you wikipedians made up that nonsense on hyperlinks having to exist only at the bottom. Trust me: The viewer does not mind hyperlinks (pointing to external sites) within text in wikipedia, it's just the wiki-admins and mods making a ridiculous issue out of it. Edited the Veronica part..

[edit]

Ben Liebrand had his first broadcast at Veronica at April first 1983 with an in the mix show (got the recording including the introduction by Erik de Zwart and Ben Liebrand) which resulted in the minimix in 1984. So he wasn't hired for the 'minimix' to result in In The mix, but just the other way around. ;) Furthermore, great wiki! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.126.26.70 (talkcontribs)

Am I going nuts???

[edit]

Having enjoyed many of Bens remixes and tracks over the years (both at home and in the clubs) I am sure that there was a diffrent 12" version of Eve of the War doing the rounds in `89.

My freind James and I both wish to hear this track again and have searched high and low for this mix and cannot any reference to it. The original 12" mix payed homage to Inner City's Big Fun, whereas I'm sure this other version featured interpretations of Black Riots A Day in the Life. Maybe it was the late nights clubbing, but i'm pretty sure there was a different mix being played.

I had the normal mix on both 12" and 12" white lable promo, but they were exacly the same version. Can anybody out there shed some light on this or confirm I'm not going mad???? Perhaps there was some jiggerypokerie going on on the DJs decks, but I'm sure I heard this remix more than once (to be fair ir was over 20 years ago and I was a bit tipsy at the time).

Hope somebody can help......

lmfao looks like ben liebrand himself wrote this page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.27.120.166 (talk) 23:46, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. I've given this article a thorough neutralising, as it appeared to have been entirely written like a fansite. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 00:04, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
