Fraternity and Sorority Project?

[edit]

I don't know why this organization is included in the Fraternities and Sororities Project. While collegiate, it doesn't use Greek letters, doesn't operate within the Greek Life circuit, as more of a general collegiate group, and did not arise from a prior Greek Letter organization. Should it be removed from that project? Jax MN (talk) 22:38, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I sympathize. [i.e: I note what the Baylor group is trying to do.] My opinion is that the group chose an odd name at the beginning, and have stuck with it. The group operates like a service or honor based society. So it broadly fits within the scope of the Fraternity and Sorority Project. Jax MN (talk) 16:47, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know I was responding to myself. Since my first post here (Feb 2021) we've done much more work to collect and list all the local honor societies within the scope of the Fraternity and Sorority Project. There are similar examples of oddly-named groups. I now think that the Baylor group is correctly listed on our watchlist. Jax MN (talk) 21:36, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
