Defunct administrative unit

[edit]

Bauska District (Bauskas rajons) is a defunct administrative unit of the Latvian SSR and later the Republic of Latvia. Hence, there can be no "current" cities, municipalities and parishes in the Bauska District. Districts were reformed in 2009, as the article correctly states, and are now called municipalities on English Wikipedia. The current cities, municipalities and parishes in the Bauska District listed in this article should be placed in the article Bauska Municipality (Bauskas novads), which is the article on the current administrative unit of Latvia with Bauska in its name. The list on Administrative divisions of Latvia before 2009 is longer. Would something like [1] be more appropriate in this context? Jackiespeel (talk) 16:43, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
