According to Dyer's Compendium, there were skirmishes at or near Strasburg on August 13, 14, 15 and 16 and a larger action at Winchester on August 17. The largest Union force at Strasburg was at the August 15 engagement, the only one for which Dyer lists casualties. The infobox Union force does not match up for any of the Strasburg actions nor for the larger Winchester action for which Dyer mentions additional units. The casualties listed are for the Winchester action on August 17. No source is listed for the little information given here but it did not come from Dyer, unless it was conflated. Dyer does not give information on the Confederate army or its actions so the casualty figure came from elsewhere. Unsurprising there is now no separate article about the August 17 action as an action at Winchester. I will look into this further as I have time. I suspect that there might be enough information somewhere to write a brief article about the August 17 action perhaps under a Winchester title with the skirmishes of the previous days shown as background and what little accurate information is here merged into it. Some of this might just be included in the general Valley Campaigns of 1864 article as an alternative since this is part of the beginning of Sheridan's operations.
