Edit Request
Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. [See below]
NOTE: I am proposing this edit for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Bass Pro Shops. I am a paid editor and am aware of the COI guidelines. I am submitting this edit request to propose revisions and additions to the article in hopes of making the article more accurate and complete. The edits are as follows in the box:
Extended content
Add, “In 2017, Cabela’s was acquired by Bass Pro Shops for $4 billion[1]” at the end of the upfront paragraph.
Revise the Revenue and Number of Employees sections in the infobox with updated numbers:
Rename the “Tracker Marine Group” section to White River Marine Group to reflect the company’s current name[4][5].
Add, “The company is now known as White River Marine Group” to the end of the “Tracker Marine Group” paragraph to clarify the name change.
Remove the standalone section on the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum, and add it after the first paragraph of the “Retail Stores” section along with other attractions. Recommend adding the following sentence after the first paragraph of the “Retail Stores” section: “The original Bass Pro Shops location in its hometown of Springfield, Mo., features many additional attractions including Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium, the National Archery Hall of Fame, NRA Sporting Arms Museum, John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Education Center, and the White River Conference Center.”[6]
Remove the standalone sections for “Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant” and “Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill,” and add them to the end of the “Retail Stores” section to keep the page more concise. Recommend the last sentence of the “Retail Stores” section reading: “Many Bass Pro Shops locations feature in-store dining, with concepts including Hemingway’s Blue Water Café, Islamorada Fish Company, White River Fish House and Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill.[7]”
Add a section called “Hospitality” under “Retail Stores” with the following copy: “Bass Pro Shops operates several hospitality resorts including Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri; Big Cypress Lodge inside Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid in downtown Memphis and Angler’s Lodge, across the street from its National Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri.[8]”
Add a section called “Conservation Efforts” under “Hospitality” with the following copy: “Bass Pro Shops partners with conservation organizations including Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Quality Deer Management Association to advocate and advance conservation programs and initiatives.[9]
