[edit]Being from Mentor, I am really curious as to why Bart never received an offer from any college. I saw many of his games and his ability to perform under pressure was absolutely aamazing. At 6'2" and 190 he seemed to have the physical attributes that colleges. This is his second year at Bowling Green and I haven't heard anything. If anyone has any inside information, it would be welcome.
Deletion Suggestion Removal
[edit]This article was suggested for deletion because of a belief of the person simply being a high school student who played football. However, the reasons for this article are a bit more substantial. The main reason for this article is Bart Tanski being named Ohio's Mr. Football in 2007.
WP:ATHLETE does define a situation, under Amateur sports persons, where a high school athlete can be notable enough to merit an article. The requirement states "[h]igh school and pre-high school athletes are notable only if they have received, as individuals, substantial and prolonged coverage that is (1) independent of the subject and (2) clearly goes beyond WP:ROUTINE coverage." The Ohio Mr. Football award is an individual award. The award has a large amount of media coverage that is independent of the subject and the coverage goes beyond WP:ROUTINE coverage. Thus, the article should remain. RonSigPi (talk) 08:13, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
