List of shows
[edit]Someone is adding the complete season list of shows to this article. Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not; this is an indiscriminate list of information of the sort that any theatre would have, and a playlist is not notable information. If anyone feels differently or wants to discuss the precedent among other theatre articles, please state a case here. Blue Rasberry 14:40, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- A reply to this went to my talk page.
- My original thought was that the list looked a lot like a program guide and information unrelated to the notability of the theatre. I understand that people might want to see a list of past shows, but the information could have come from the theatre's own website and the showlist was not notable in its own right. However, some other Wikipedia articles also have playlists - see Broadyway and West End. I think in some cases the shows listed in those two sections premiered at the theatre, but not in all cases.
- I less sure of myself in removing this kind of content, and you pointed out that the "What Wikipedia is not" list above does not explicitly prohibit lists of this sort. I am not going to touch this again, and am putting the list back in the meantime. If anyone knows more about the policy than me, then they can remove it. Thanks for the talk; sorry for jostling you and happy editing. Blue Rasberry 16:00, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
