roll into Barbershop music

[edit]

Should this little guy be rolled into Barbershop music and a redirect posted here instead?Legotech (talk) 20:38, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm hardly objective, but there's loads of content possible for each. It just hasn't been fleshed out yet.LeadSongDog (talk) 21:26, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know, and that's sort of why I asked...I'm just wondering how different the info here would be from the info there, it would be difficult/impossible to keep this article just to a discussion of particular Quartets without talking about the style of music...maybe roll it in for now and then break it back out when we've got more here? I dunno...hopefully someone smarter than I am can figure it out :) Legotech (talk) 22:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to Be Bold

[edit]

I saw this on the featured editing page and I'm giving it my best crack. I added the 12 standard songs, which several sources maintain as essential to the genre. I also tried to seek out sources beyond what was already used to give a more global sense of the genre. Hope this is helpful! Worrypower (talk) 16:24, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Malcolm in the Middle

[edit]

There is an episode where Dewey (the youngest of the four brothers of the protagonist family) uses a large dog to hold his brothers (not including the eldest, as he doesn't live at home and isn't around at that time) hostage, plus Craig (a man who is the boys' mother's supervisor at her workplace) hostage. The singing and choreography clearly imitate (and lampoon) barbershop even though there are only three singers singing flattering words about Dewey. "That's why Dewey's the best." Although not four singers, I think it's close enough to merit a mention.107.77.206.126 (talk) 04:15, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
