Most of this is completely inaccurate= his occupation, his travels, date of birth, place of birth. See the French article (which is a bit too emotional, but at least accurate). It is all cited to some silly 1989 article in a rag called the "Hampton Roads Daily News", which I cannot vet because of continued Tribune Publishing intransigence against following EU data protection rules, but I will assume the journalist was just an ignorant fool.
