Notable?
[edit]Strange coincidence that his birth and death date quite coincides with Albert Einstein. 195.70.32.136 10:56, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Duesenberg auto facts from German wikipedia
[edit]I really think that this article should focus on the life and accomplishments of August Duesenberg, not the vehicles, which are detailed at the Duesenberg article. I am moving the images of the vehicles to that article, along with the factoid about the cars on the road, which is partly already in that article. If you can locate a public domain photo of AS Duesenberg, that would be a welcome addition to this biographical sketch.David 03:14, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've included summary information related to the cars (Model A), engines, and race cars that Augie was involved in developing, and the specific Indianapolis 500-mile races where he was racing supervisor/director. Since Augie Duesenberg was involved in racing aspect of the Duesenberg brothers' businesses, and not with the development of the later Duesenbergluxury cars, it seems appropriate to move those to the Duesenberg article. "German-American"
[edit]If August Duesenberg was only 5 when his family emigrated, it would be more appropriate to call him a German-born American automobile pioneer. Sca (talk) 15:19, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
