This is looking really solid. I've made some minor edits, and the one thing I would say you could do to improve it at this point is to add a "see also" list for some of the places and organizations noted (so, not just in references) and also see if you can do some the hyperlinking (to her university, and to the Peace Corps, Access Alaska...) do make this article more "connected".
