QPQ: Done. |
Overall: @Pamzeis: Article created on March 3, it's long enough and copyvio doesn't flag anything. Hook meets the character limit, is interesting and cited (I prefer ALT1). QPQ has been done (the QPQ chosen in regard to the article is funny). Per WP:NEWSWEEK, Newsweek isn't really considered reliable post-2013. Even though Leechin was interviewed for the article, aren't there other reliable sources to support her claims? Sebbirrrr (talk) 23:41, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- I've replaced the source where I can and removed a claim. Per WP:ABOUTSELF, I've left in information about Leechin's residences, which is relatively uncontroversial IMO. Lemme know what you think. Thanks! Pamzeis (talk) 14:09, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Pamzeis: Thanks, that looks better! I agree that Leechin's residence isn't controversial information about her so I believe this shouldn't be an issue. Great work on this article! Sebbirrrr (talk) 15:47, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
2023 Grammys Incident
[edit]In a TikTok posted on January 31, 2023 Leechin told her 1.1 million followers that she was partnering up with a media company called Sweety High, who supposedly secured her an invite to the ceremony. However, many found her story questionable.
After making several videos about her outfit — a purple dress inspired by Swift's Speak Now — and trip to LA, Leechin returned to TikTok to reveal that she'd been disinvited to the Grammys at the very last minute, even though she'd already spent $2000 on "apparel, lodging, travel [and] childcare" for her two children.
The content creator explained that Sweety High contacted her on January 18, asking whether she would be interested in partnering with the Grammys, where she was chosen to add a “Swiftie take” to their coverage of the award show. However, the outlet explained that while they could provide the ticket to the ceremony, Ashley would need to cover the trip’s costs. The contract also outlined that her invitation could be revoked at any time.
Following discussions with her team — Leechin is managed by her husband while another family member is her PR representative — she later sent over her own deal memo requesting someone to walk with her on the red carpet.
“I was very adamant that I needed someone to walk with me down the red carpet to feel comfortable, and they refused to allow that for me”, she said. “I wanted to protect myself, so I made this deal memo to ensure that no press, no videos, no photos would be mistaken and would have the Taylor Swift name on it.”
Swift fans started accusing Leechin of being a stalker, suggesting that her invitation was revoked because Swift herself was attending the ceremony and Leechin was a security concern.
Leechin has since deleted all of her content about Sweety High, likely for legal reasons after sharing the details of her signed contract.

- @Camille316: This seems borderline WP:BLPGOSSIP, in my opinion. You'll have to prove why the information is encyclopaedic, and it needs several reliable sources to warrant inclusion per WP:BLP. It'll also have to comply with WP:AVOIDVICTIM and WP:BLPSTYLE, among other policies and guidelines. Pamzeis (talk) 16:03, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
