Title

- J.H.McDonnell, I see your point and in fact had taken it up vociferously about a year ago on another article. The WikiProject Bivalvia (and WikiProject Gastropoda) editors are following the usual Wikipedia protocol of keeping familiar or commonly used names on articles to make the articles easier to get into and read for the non-scientist. Where there is a common name, like Geoduck it is the main article name and the scientific name Panopea generosa is used as a redirect. Feel free to look on the talk page of WikiProject Bivalvia where this issue was vetted regarding Panopea generosa. Shellnut (talk) 15:58, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
