Apu NahasapeemapetilanApu Nahasapeemapetilon – Undiscussed move: looking at [1] alone, it would appear that the new article title has no results on page 1 alone. I don't think that was ever moved to the new title in the first place. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:25, 22 September 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. ‡ Night Watch ω (talk) 22:40, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify, I didn't say his last name is unknown – only that most people aren't aware of it. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:42, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies. I mis-worded it and really meant that I think it's well-known enough to probably be part of the page title, similar to Nelson Muntz. Skynxnex (talk) 23:13, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed reduction of Controversy Section

[edit]

The section about Apu's controversies is extremely bloated. It's longer than the character biography, by my count. I propose we trim away a good chunk of it - specifically the paragraphs related to the documentary and its fallout - and wanted to see if there were any objections beforehand. I assume you mean Apu Nahasapeemapetilon § Accusations of racial stereotyping? I think there's nothing particularly wrong about such a section being longer than the character biography. The things that occurred in the real world because of the character are probably more "encyclopedic" than the fictional elements. That said, it is probably a bit over detailed about the documentary, yeah. Selectively merging some to the docu article, if needed, and removing some excessive detail here would be fine.
