There is very little information about this on the web. However, it seems to be a fairly common procedure used either in conjuction with or after a root canal has failed. It is also sometimes used with an abcessed tooth. It seems like something that belongs in Wikipedia and should not be speedily deleted.Daveprince (talk) 22:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-marked this page for deletion due to an error on my part. The correct spelling is "apicoectomy".
