Why was Channel One's "Technicolor" deleted?
[edit]This is a classic electro/techno song that was sampled by Sir Mix-a-Lot in "Baby Got Back" himself, which obviously was sampled by Nicki Minaj. Get your facts straight. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.184.116.57 (talk) 22:03, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Was No.3 in Indy Chart in UK in 1983. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:44, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
What is the song about?
[edit]Nothing in article deals with text of song. DGtal (talk) 10:13, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- I came here to try and find out. I'm hoping it's a parody of most types of, shall we say... 'certain music videos'? groovygower (talk) 17:29, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- I think (original "research") its more like a basic sexploitation song. I wouldn't credit them with more than that. DGtal (talk) 09:39, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Possible banning in Canada?
[edit]The CD single for this appears to be impossible to get in Canada. I heard some mumbling that it might have been banned in that country due to the cover. This is anecdotal so I can't just add this to the article, but I'm putting this here in case anyone can find out the situation. If the single has been banned in Canada, then that's a pretty notable piece of information to add to the article. That said, it may also be a case of Canadian music distributors no longer carrying the CD single format, too. 68.146.52.234 (talk) 13:47, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
Ongoing edit war
[edit]I'm sure I'm not the only one that's noticed this, but there is an ongoing edit war between @72.252.134.98:, @200.121.133.215: and/or @201.230.209.35: regarding the sentence, "Roker said, "It almost seems like Minaj has gotten desperate and needs to do something to get her crown back"." in the music video section of the page. This statement has been reverted and undone several times previously and the constant adding and readding of this information is getting very annoying, further influenced by the fact that 72.252.134.98 continuously includes unhelpful edit summaries in all caps and 200.121.133.215 just undoes the edit with no comment. What is your opinion on this. Should it be kept or removed? — Usfun8991 06:38, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Should this page be merged?
[edit]in the main article on Nicki Minaj, or, moved to be a general page about her songs so all the songs can be on one page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:2C0:E:1209:4685:FF:FE03:56CE (talk) 23:08, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

The Voice Behind the "Oh My God Look at Her Butt" Part
[edit]No mention of this anywhere in the article itself. However, the person who said that lyric sounds awfully like anime voice actress Kari Wahlgren using Shellsea's voice albeit lower pitched.
Meanwhile Kim K's voice sounds slightly deeper than hers having a little rasp hiding in the surfer girl accent she speaks with.
That's all,

Why use the censored album cover for lead image?
[edit]Wouldn't it be more appropriate to use the original cover art without the lame strategically placed parental advisory label? This is Wikipedia after all, not Walmart. Alialiac (talk) 20:53, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- The clean one doesn’t seem to have been shared by any official sources, and can thus be speculated as fanmade. iTunes archives and Minaj's twitter use the one with the sticker on her butt.—NØ 01:33, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
