Related Brand
[edit]I removed "Related Brand: Tylenol" I can find no reason to call Tylenol related. The two medicines contain different ingredients and are made and sold by different companies. Carax (talk) 00:17, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
In Popular Culture Section?
[edit]Should there be one? I know of one episode of "Family Guy" where Stewie asked for Anacin, to which Brian responds, "Anacin? What a strange request. Is that still around?" (from memory, I'll have to watch my Family Guy DVDs again for the exact dialog and episode information. Has Anacin been mentioned or shown in other programs?Jtyroler (talk) 09:44, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
Ingredients
[edit]In the fifties Anacin had three ingredients: aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine. Some time later acetaminophen was dropped, perhaps at the urging of the FDA. This issue needs research.C. Cerf (talk) 23:46, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
What is it made of?
[edit]Nothing about whether it is Aspirin, Ibuprofin or Acetaminophen

Did Anacin ever contain phenacetin?
[edit]It seems to be that it may have once contained this now long-banned pain reliever, but I can't find a current reference on it. 2600:1004:B166:7D78:6013:1449:B3B3:38D2 (talk) 02:09, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- The reference cited shows that it used to contain acetanilide which is not the same thing as phenacetin. This needs to be fixed. Acetanilide is mostly metabolized into paracetamol, but a small proportion is hydrolized to aniline. This is well described in the page on acetanilide (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetanilide) which is what should be referenced instead of phenacetin. 47.35.155.56 (talk) 00:50, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
Ana Anacin
[edit]This appears to be false and is suspicious of vandalism. “ Anacin's mascot at the time was Ana Anacin.” I don’t have time to fix it on the main page but maybe somebody else does. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.229.74.212 (talk) 17:22, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
