@Skynxnex: The redirect might not have been a good one but is there evidence that this newspaper is notable for more than Alexandria? Searching notability for newspapers can be a decidedly difficult task and so what I'm guessing is your local knowledge might help to provide sources/citations more easily than if I were to go looking. @Skynxnex: I think it would need to meet WP:GNG as I don't think there's any subject guideline that applies here. Ideally to prove notability we'd be looking for coverage in some other RS about the Alexandria Times rather than just talking about it's coverage. I don't think political endorsements help through GNG to prove notability. In doing a search of the Washington Post's archives I do see regular mentions of the Times reporting suggesting it is a RS. While RS and Notability are different it does feel a little silly to say it's RS for Alexandria but not notable. The Newspapers Wikiproject seems active and so I've added their banner. Hi, a WP-editor identifying himself as former owner and founder of the newspaper has made a number of additions, and also raised this at the WP teahouse. These additions were supported by a US trademark registration, and a LinkedIn page, neither of which is an adequate source (and both were removed by other editors, before being reinstated). Please note: if you are closely associated with the newspaper, and adding information about yourself or your close associates, family and friends, you have a conflict of interest. You should read WP:COI and declare it accordingly. You should then request any changes you wish made to this article, here in the talk page. Please specify exactly what you want changed, and give reliable independent sources to back it up. Many thanks! Elemimele (talk) 20:29, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
