[edit]There is no reason for these articles, which have the exact same content, to be separate.--Thespian 06:24, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think the content will stay the same for very long, we will most likely see different storylines as the show goes on. -- 22e2 12:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- They are two separate people, after all, and just because we've only seen them in "one episode" doesn't discount them as article-worthy. Anyone who follows the show knows that they are both going to be major contributors to the plot, and no, these articles should NOT be merged. Simply because the dynamic of these characters is the fact that we see them as a duet does not make them a singular entity. This is a case where the whole is not greater than the sum of its parts. Windmillninja 03:26, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- Both characters have only been featured in one episode. Their stories are going to change rapidly in the next few episodes, especially since only Maya appears to have superpowers. - Throw 02:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

I suggest to put all the necessary information to the List of characters in Heroes and that's all. Charlie has superpower as well and appeared in two episodes. Other characters had superpowers and murdered by Sylar in the same episode they appeared. Btw, I think both characters have superpowers. The boy has the ability to cancel his sister. In the future, if they play more we can create an article for both of them. Right now now article is needed. -- Magioladitis 21:33, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- We will for sure see alot from Maya since Dania Ramírez is part of the new main cast, a merge of her article is unessacery. As for Alejandro I'd say let's wait until the next episode has aired atleast and then see what to do. -- 22e2 10:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- I doubt that Maya will be part of the main cast without her brother, they should separate articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kabash700 (talk • contribs) 20:08, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
What About
[edit]Why Can't We have two sections on one Page.
We can Call it The Herrera Twins
after all there powers are connected just seperate the two sections with another headerSpread The Word 17:34, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Given that Maya is a main character, she should be granted an article covering only her. However - Alejandro can easily be added to List of minor Heroes characters with special abilities, joining Molly Walker, Meredith Gordon, West and others. Pjär80 13:18, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- However, as things look currently, he will an important supporting character to Maya, in the same vein as Ando was to Hiro was before becoming a main character. There are already several supporting cast members who have their own page already, such as Eden, Mrs. Petrelli, and Candice. Seriously, even Claude has his own page, and how many episodes was he even in? For now, I think his article should remain as it is. Lore aura 15:47, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- Now that this character is dead there is no longer a compelling reason for him to have his own article. He was never a major-enough character to warrant it - and now he never will be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.45.69 (talk) 08:05, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. His information can be said in this paragraph:

Ajelandro Herrera is the sister of Maya Herrara. He is very protective of her, even after the initial discovery of Maya's power, which killed their freinds and his new wife. After she ran away, he tracked her down and discovered his ability to cure the virus she creates. Afterwards, they tried to escape from Mexico, picking up Sylar along the way. While Maya trusted Sylar, Ajelandro did not, and soon after he discovered Sylar was a murderer, Sylar killed him.
That was short, sweet, and to the point. BioYu-Gi! (talk) 18:57, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Leave it like it is
[edit]These two characters will become very crucial to the story, in this season. Just leave these pages, for in a few weeks, you'll have to seperate the pages anyways. I understand Wikipedia is meant to be efficient, but it's inefficient to destroy a page and then have to remake it later. Trust me. 74.12.14.166 11:45, 6 October 2007 (UTC) Joe Caron
Contradiction
[edit]'Information Ability Revives victims killed by his sister'
compared with
'Alejandro's power instantly cures anyone she has infected, assuming the infection has not already killed them.'
There seems to be some contradiction about what happens if the sister kills someone. Can this be resolved? 82.152.219.111 08:03, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
The problem is we don't fully understand it yet. It is quite possible like any disease there is a certain period of infection and gestation time involved, as we have seen Alejandro save some victims who had just recently died within a couple of seconds and revived and those who have been long dead and were not revived. It is proble to classify that Alejnadro can neutralize the virus/disease, but if a victim is onfected for too long, they die permanently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.156.169.76 (talk) 21:07, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Now we do understand it - He can stop the disease Maya creates. If the person is dead they stay dead, if not they get better on their own. Padillah (talk) 21:47, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, they should be joined.
[edit]Since they are both brother and sister physically and in their powers, they do need to be together. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.252.195.181 (talk) 17:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Merge Discussion
[edit]I say keep this page. Alejandro is still notable, even though he died. He has been in as many eps as maya and more eps than claude and ted sprague. I feel that he is still a notable character and thing shouldnt be changed just because he is not on the series anymore. things should be decided based on what is recent, but rather, we need to offer a full scope of the series.--Chrisisinchrist 00:36, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes but still we can fit this character's information in to 10 lines at most. -- Magioladitis 00:40, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I dont feel like their was enough concensus for this page to be deleted. it needs to be discussed more.--Chrisisinchrist 00:41, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep It I think this page is important enough to keep. He was notable to the Maya and Sylar storyline, which was important to Maya's plot. I vote to Keep this Page.--76.168.220.243 00:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

- I have suggested the merge of this article from the first day it appeared. A notable character is not a character you always have to say much about him. A separate article is not the way to "honor" someone. If you find things about the role, interview of the actor, etc. ok. But now, we just have a very detailed part of the plot. This is not a good article. Afterall, the character appeared mainly in the shadow of his sister. As you commented the number of the episodes a character appeared in not the only criterion. As you see I ve been more cautious to the Ted case because he was more active in the series and his character was better explained in the series and the novels (issues with his wive, connection with Hana, etc.). But Alejandro? I don't think so.-- Magioladitis 00:49, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Here is an interivew with Shalim Ortiz, where he states that you havent seen the last of him on Heroes... http://www.hispanicbusiness.com/news/newsbyid.asp?id=83832&cat=Arts+%26amp%3B+Entertainment+News&more=%2Fentertainment%2F Is this what you were asking for? I still feel he is notable, so i vote to keep the page. it seems to convenient that his page was redirected the same week when he was killed off of the show. looks like recentism to me. --Chrisisinchrist 00:57, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I am not asking for proofs. :) I am just asking for an article that is not a plot summary and doesn't use in-universe language. I want an article that says that the character how was inspired, how the actor was chosen, what does he think about his role, etc. I still believe that recentism was to create the article the same day he appeared in the show. Redirecting was just the result of that. But anyway, now we are discussing if this article should stay or not. And I say: This article can be summarized in 10 lines and merge into the main one. If someone creates a better article I discuss it again. It's the same with all the episode articles. Articles that just contain a plot summary should be merged. -- Magioladitis 01:05, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Merge, merge, merge, merge. We've enough problems with the trigger-happy deletion crowd as it is, without having to defend an article such as this. Better to clean up what we can and as such be able to make a better case for the more important stuff. --Ckatzchatspy 19:21, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly, the episode articles are a priority. If someday articles for some characters can be expanded are welcome. -- Magioladitis 00:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that this article should be merged (even if it does mean losing the picture I uploaded) because it will never get too much bigger (unless Claire finds him and gives him a blood transfusion), but it can easily get smaller. thedemonhog talk • edits 05:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Merge with Maya. It was, as I mentioned in the first comment made here, exactly the same content at the time. And it's STILL 90% the same content! The character followed the exact same path as his sister, and there is no need for 2 articles about them that say almost the exact same thing. This is silly replication by people who are WP:Pokémon testing the Heroes articles, and it's really not acceptable. Please create new content to prove this character merits his own page, or it needs to be merged into Maya or a Maya and Alejandro Herrera article. I accepted that there might be something different about him when he was brand new, but there is no merit to keeping these articles separate. --Thespian (talk) 06:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Merge back to the list as it was. A mantion in Maya's article is enough. If he becomes a main character, separate again. --Tone 20:51, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I think it would be good to have this page....but merging it with Maya is still just as good. Instead of just merging his with Maya, could we make a new page called the Heraras, or something like that, so it doesn't seem that Alejandro is secondary to Maya [even though he kind of is]. (Wikirocks2 (talk) 04:01, 9 December 2007 (UTC))
- I think merging with the main article makes more sense because Mayas articles has more prospectives to expand and since we have two characters and two actors 1 still active in the show and 1 not I expect the production will feed us with more material on Maya and a article for both of them will end up with 90% Maya, 10% Alejandro. -- Magioladitis (talk) 11:20, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, can you at least say that in this case we have a consensus Merge with Heroes characters with special abilities? In this conversation were involved, in 6 days, 9 people and 7 agree with the merge and 2 don't (one with IP). -- Magioladitis (talk) 11:20, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Seems a consensus to me... --Tone 21:05, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Does he even have powers?
[edit]Does he have powers or was he just able to calm Maya down and keep her powers from killing ppl, while he himself was immune to it because of them being siblings (Cyclops and Havok, etc)Teerev 02:32, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- In an interview with one of the writers the writer says something along the lines of "...his power only stops the sickness, once they are dead the only thing Alejandro can do is grab a shovel." So, yeah, he had a power - to be immune to, and halt the progression of, his sisters power. Padillah 14:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Can we source that statement? It would be good to add to the (merged) description, and would help make it less in-universe. --Ckatzchatspy 18:34, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

- Correction, he said:
Padillah 18:42, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Simply, she hadn't died yet. Once people die, all Alejandro can do is pray and grab a shovel.
Thats not proof enough for me. The question is leading the answer on part of the writer. The questionner is assuming Alejandro has power, but the writer neither confirms or denys it.
And I think we learned from the episode when Sylar showed her how to control her abilities that Alejandro himself had none.Teerev (talk) 01:58, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- My opinion is that these things are philosophical questions. Someone that has immunity to a virus has a "power" or not? Someone that has a different gene in his body is he "special"? I think our problem is the definition of such a think. Certainly, Alejandro had immunity to his sister virus. Could he do more? Probably not. But this is only an assumption. -- Magioladitis (talk) 02:32, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Teerev, how about in this interview when the writrs said
He blatantly states they both have abilities. Now, that's two quotes from two different interviews stating that they both have abilities, if that's not enough I don't think I can convince you. Padillah (talk) 04:47, 5 December 2007 (UTC)The idea with Maya and Alejandro is that we'll be slowly discovering more and more about their abilities with each episode. emphasis added
- Teerev, how about in this interview when the writrs said
I can accept that quote, but like I said the presentation in the show itself leaves alot to be desired as to Alejandro and abilities IMO, but I recognize this information and will let the matter die on my end.Teerev (talk) 14:27, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
