[edit]Where the hell has the long bit I wrote about his time at Reading F.C. gone? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.128.2.195 (talk • contribs) 14:20, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]The reference to Jerry Emmett needs to go, that is just twaddle! --Malcolmxl5 21:08, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Controversies section
[edit]I don't think there should be a separate section for controversies - it seems like veiled PoV to me. If the events are notable they should be integrated into the main career section IMHO. ---- Jameboy (talk) 20:41, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Neil Warnock and Arsène Wenger also have similar sections. if you think any of it is pov feel free to change the wording so it isn't.--Mas 18 dl (talk) 13:27, 17 November 2007 UTC
- Its a bit OTT but it will do for now. I took the comment out of the opening paragraph though. Just ridiculous giving as much weight to 35 "complaints" as to 2 Fa Cup final appearances.--EchetusXe (talk) 22:01, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Newcastle Job and the Premier League Stats
[edit]I am not sure how to do it but we need a separate set of stats for his managerial career in the Premier league as opposed to the Championship. People need to see his premiership experience when deciding whether he is a good enough replacement to Chris Hughton at Newcastle United F.C.
- No need for separate Premier League stats. To answer your query then 38 games (16 wins, 7 draws, 15 losses) with West Ham in 05/06 and 17 games (4 wins, 2 draws, 11 losses) with West Ham in 06/07. Then 19 games (5 wins, 7 draws, 7 losses) with Charlton in 06/07. Grand total of 74 games (25 wins, 16 draws, 33 losses) - win percentage 33.8%. Cheers.--EchetusXe 00:28, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Edit request from Darthbibblethethird, 9 December 2010
[edit]{{edit semi-protected}}
Re: - The controversy about Alan Pardew and MOTD2. I feel it should be pointed out that even if Pardew had used the word "rape" instead of "rake" he would be entirely correct in his usage of the word as the word "rape" has different meanings other than the sex crime.
Darthbibblethethird (talk) 12:36, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- Denied He may have been entirely correct if he was playing an online fps, but as the BBC denied he even used the word 'raped' it would suggest that the majority of people watching the programme were unaware that Pardew wasn't necessarily the first person to use the word in that context. Therefore he was not correct to use the term, hence the controversy. Anyway, "in the sense that he bested him physically" does explain what Pardew meant by the terminology.--EchetusXe 12:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Where it says Alan Pardew again appeared on MOTD2 on 25th February 2012 but this was the 26th, it's on a Sunday and just happened 2 hours ago.

Suggested Edit: Alan Pardew no longer New Castle United Manager
[edit]Alan Pardew is no longer New Castle United Manager. He manages Crystal palace instead
[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.247.166.224 (talk • contribs) 17:01, 1 January 2015
- Read the article again. It doesn't say that at all. Quote: "Alan Pardew expected to be named Crystal Palace boss on Thursday". EXPECTED. At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, if he is EXPECTED to be named boss then he cannot have already been named boss. 79.66.116.184 (talk) 14:42, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

Alan Pardew sacked STOP CHANGING HIS WIKI
[edit]Please stop, Alan Pardew has been sacked and areas of the Greek media have reported that. Furthermore, via the Aris FC YouTube channel its clear that this has happened as Apostolos Terzis has been placed in caretaker charge and has also been handling press conferences. In addition, the clubs news on the website has shown Terzis taking previous training sessions and doing that without any sign of Alan Pardew or assistant Alex Dyer. This has been enough evidence to show he has been sacked by the club. 80.7.173.88 (talk) 13:08, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
