Beard
[edit]- Clearly the issue of Alan's beard affects all the department's students greatly. Would the article not be improved by having a couple of photos of Burns -- before and after? …Ner102 09:50, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]According to WP:NOTE and Notability (academics) this article does not meet notability standards; primarily because there are no reliable, secondary sources for the content, only pages authored by the subject and his department. -- ricmitch 08:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Actually he meets point 5 (at least) of the notability criteria: "The person holds or has held a named/personal chair appointment or "Distinguished Professor" appointment at a major institution of higher education and research." For a reference, the proceedings of SIGADA2000: http://www.sigada.org/conf/sigada2000/private/SIGAda2000-CDROM/SIGAda2000-Proceedings/Burns.htm
- I don't know or care to find out how to add citations to articles so someone else better do it, I'll just break something.
