Political positions

[edit]

His political standpoint remains unclear. The lead says he opposed Nazism, but this isn't mentioned anywhere in the text (a lead should normally contain the most prominent features of a person's life, so there should be more about it in the text if it was really a prominent feature). He is described as the founder and editor of a nationalist newspaper, and yet it is also said that a nationalist student tried to kill him - it should be explained what motivated the student in spite of their apparently shared opinions - and he is said to have participated to the Liberal International, so the question arises whether he was a liberal or a nationalist after all (combining the two was normal in the 19th century, but was, I think, already less usual of the period in question). 62.73.72.3 (talk) 08:38, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
