Not notable enough
[edit]I really don't think this article needs to be so detailed. Nick Warren (talk) 11:20, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
The part about Auntie Mae's parlor can't be right. I was a student there in the 70's and there wasn't any Auntie Mae's parlor. There was a dive called the Pub, which may have been the same. The biggest saloon was on the north side of Moro's Street north of where Rusty's is now, in the 70's. I can't remember the name of it. Maybe it was Rusty's. I'd like to hear if someone else remembers. Another big bar in the 70's was K's, which was across from Varney's Bookstore. I think it was owned by the same owner of Kites. Dark Horse was near the movie theatre, and had 2 floors, but wasn't very big. There was a Hardees fast food restaurant, apparently where Chipotles is now. We need a much better and more detailed history of the area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.71.212.62 (talk) 05:06, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
I remember. The big bar or saloon in Aggieville throughout the 70's was Brothers. It was on the north side of Moro, across from where Rustys is now. It had pool tables and a number of foosball tables. It also had a pizzeria next door, and you could order pizza from them through a window in the saloon. This was the biggest bar in Aggieville throughout the 70's. The name sounds rather strange, but it was certainly a very straight bar. Aggie Lounge was a very small bar indeed. It had one row of booths next to a long bar and there was one foosball table in the back. There was no Auntie Mae's as the article says. There was a small bar called the Pub on 12Street south of moro on the east side. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.71.212.62 (talk) 01:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
