The content
[edit]Hey LLBBooks, I can understand you modifying or altering the content but why have you blanked out so much that I filled? They are certainly not speculation..I wrote all this 'coz there was a news item concerning this on CNN-IBN in India. I think what I have written is factual and conforms to good quality. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sriram sh (talk • contribs) 16:09, 9 October 2006 (UTC).
- Hi, Sriram sh. I'm glad we have the chance to discuss this... I was sorta hoping you would contact me. The reason I made the changes that I did was that I found some of the language to be not encyclopedic, "or so the makers say" being an example. Also, I didn't think the information about where Pitt and Jolie were residing was relevant. I cut this section: "Apparently, the film-makers zeroed in on this city because of it's perceived similarity, in terms of topography to the city of Karachi in Pakistan, where Daniel Pearl was beheaded by Islamic fundamentalists, allegedly affiliated to the al-Qaeda, the mastermind organization, in response to the American invasion of Iraq." because according to the BBC article I cited, that wasn't the reason why they moved production.
- However, I realize that I might have been a smidge heavy-handed in my editing, and for that I apologize. You did include a good bit of information to start the article with, and that's never a bad thing! If you feel that there should be things added to the article, please feel free to add, just add a link to your source, because that's the main reason I changed the article: I saw no documentation. If you can find that article that you read, please feel free to add the information back with the source... that would be great. Thanks, LLBBooks 06:24, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi LLBBooks, am glad you clarified some issues there, actually am a novice in editing stuff so you could find some things definitely jarring here and there. Guess, would just get better with time, but the stuff about why Pune was chosen, I can vouch for it's authenticity. Of that I got no doubts at all. Thanks for da clarifications dude Sriram sh 08:11, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
