Dates Quarterfinal
[edit]the reference N. 46 says the Quarterfinals are at 20. and 23th march or have i looked wrong?
Future-Trunks (talk) 09:02, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- No, officially on 25 March. Island92 (talk) 09:21, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Source. Island92 (talk) 09:26, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- ok official reference
- https://editorial.uefa.com/resources/028b-1a54296817de-b3b7a65b9aa0-1000/20240226_circular_2024_08_en.zip
- says on page 5 it is 23th march
- if it is at 25th march we should a link to the refence what says 25th march and not a reference waht says 23th Future-Trunks (talk) 09:32, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe because the date was updated thereafter? As things stand the official date is on 25 March 2025. Island92 (talk) 11:02, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- The date was indeed updated compared to that editorial released in February 2024. Island92 (talk) 11:07, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- can you give a reference for the update? Future-Trunks (talk) 11:13, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have already linked this, which says 25 March, updated to yesterday. Island92 (talk) 11:17, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- but this does not say leg 1 from all 4 Quarter finals are at 20th march and leg 2 are all 4 QF at 25th march. maybe 1 QF is at 20th and 23th march and the other at 22th and 25th march.
- right now on uefa page says here:
- III - Match Scheduling • Regulations of the UEFA Nations League • Reader • UEFA-Dokumente
- QF are played from Thursday to Tuesday every Day, but also references Annex A, which says
- Annex A - 2024-26 National Team Match Calendar • Regulations of the UEFA Nations League • Reader • UEFA-Dokumente
- all QF are at 20th and 23th march
- but no reference says there are 4 matches at 25th march. Future-Trunks (talk) 11:25, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- @S.A. Julio: what do you think? Island92 (talk) 11:30, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Now I understand. You are right per the match calendar, specified date in orange. Island92 (talk) 11:41, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Fixes made. Island92 (talk) 11:49, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

(W) for Croatia
[edit]There's a long layoff ahead before final two rounds so I believe there is some weight to this matter.
I believe Croatia cannot be relegated directly and therefore should be awarded a (W) in the standings.
- If Scotland win both of their remaining games and Poland beat Portugal while Croatia lose to Portugal, Portugal will top the group and all other teams will finish on 7 points, with Croatia second-placed and third place depending on the exact scoreline of Poland : Scotland game. All of Croatia's seven points would be earned against Scotland and Poland respectively, putting them atop of the tiebreaking three-team league; Scotland would end third with 6 points and Poland would remain at 4 points for a direct relegation.
- If Scotland win both of their remaining games while Poland fail to beat Portugal, Scotland could pip Croatia to second place depending on the exact scoreline of their game and Croatia's loss to Portugal, with Poland at the bottom.
- If Scotland fail to win either of their remaining games, Croatia will remain above them.
I'm struggling to envision a scenario in which Croatia end up last.
Many thanks, Splićanin (talk) 22:58, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Splićanin: You are indeed correct, I have updated the template accordingly! S.A. Julio (talk) 02:38, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
Article layout
[edit]@Island92: I was wondering, for this article, should we maintain the current layout, or modify it to something like this? The competition regulations do use the term "knockout stage", so maybe it would be better to group the sections in this manner? S.A. Julio (talk) 01:46, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- According to the schedule, the Nations League finals phase is not part of the quarter-finals. Island92 (talk) 10:10, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92: They are both part of the League A knockout stage though, maybe it would be worth including a bracket from the quarter-finals. Per the regulations:
The competition stages are as follows:... League A knockout stage, comprising four quarter-finals and the finals...

- @S.A. Julio: where do you normally find UEFA documents like this? Does UEFA.com have a dedicated section where the release of this document is easily found? That said, I mean also for other UEFA competitions, of course. Island92 (talk) 16:27, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92: You can often find such documents on this page, where UEFA publish the circular letters they send to their member associations. S.A. Julio (talk) 18:15, 15 November 2024 (UTC)

Switzerland noun and the close flag
[edit]@S.A. Julio: in the infobox on the right you can see that the "S" of "Switzerland" is not close to the respective flag as is the case for the rest of national teams. This display issue (if it can be called issue) happens every time the Swiss flag and "Switzerland" noun is included close to it. How can the "S" be slightly moved to the left? Island92 (talk) 20:08, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92: The spacing is controlled by the flag template, Switzerland is given an extra space to better align the text with other countries, given their square flag. S.A. Julio (talk) 18:34, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- @S.A. Julio: Understood. Island92 (talk) 18:37, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

Times for QF
[edit]@S.A. Julio: I know times are not confirmed yet, but for the qualified teams involved, their default kick-off time is 20:45. Island92 (talk) 15:37, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92: Okay, but we should not make assumptions until officially confirmed. The 18:00 time slot is also theoretically available for scheduling these matches. S.A. Julio (talk) 15:40, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
