Wins/Losses in-a-row stat
[edit]May I suggest including an additional statistic to the "Standings" tables. On the NHL website they always list the current "streak" a team is on. For example if a team has won their last 3 games in the "Streak" column they would have "WON 3" or if they have lost their last game only they would have "LOST 1". I find this stat very interesting and, indeed, newspapers often cite this stat but it is lacking from this page. I would do it myself but it seems this page receives many edits from many people and I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes here. Angusprain (talk) 10:04, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- I was actually thinking of showing a team's progression throughout the season. Their current streak can easily be read from that (plus you can see a term's streak during any point of the season). Something like the table below. Any suggestions or recommendations? TheMightyPeanut (talk) 14:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- It looks good to me and a useful addition to the page. Jowaninpensans (talk) 18:31, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Unanimous then, moved to the main page! TheMightyPeanut (talk) 20:12, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Great, looks good! Angusprain (talk) 10:28, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Sponsored names
[edit]Throughout this document - and several others - the sponsored names for stadia are used, yet not the sponsored names for teams (i.e. Vodacom Bulls, HSBC Waratahs). Should this be done for consistency? TheMightyPeanut (talk) 10:29, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
- I'd say no. The sponsored names are additions to the team names. There are e.g. no other Waratahs than the ones sponsored by HSBC, so that adds no information. But the stadium names become meaningless without the sponsor names. To be meaningful, the stadium names would have to be replaced by the non-sponsored names (e.g. Lancaster Park, Stadium Australia, Melbourne Rectangular Stadium) but IMO those are less known and would add more confusion. /Coffeeshivers (talk) 22:37, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
