how did ash clouds penetrate the sea?
[edit]Supposedly clouds of Ash penetrated 500 ft of the sea to get into the atmosphere. While I can formulate a plausible armchair hypothesis of how that happened, does anybody actually know?
I hypothesize the clouds were not ash clouds at all, but they were a mixture of Ash and atomized seawater. I further hypothesize the clouds will not drift nearly as far as dry Ash.
I could not find an answer in the news stories. 2607:FB91:1F05:4440:DCE4:C2FF:FE70:D593 (talk) 23:53, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
