Offensive Scheme

[edit]

I was always under the impression that the triple option was one play that made up part of the offensive scheme. I don't have the sources to cite, but I was also under the impression that Coach Johnson referred to the scheme as a spread offense. Adeax (talk) 19:05, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stats

[edit]

I've begun working on a stats section for this page based on what I've seen on other team pages [1]. Stats take a time commitment to enter in. If anyone would like to help, please do.

  • Current location of addition is in My Sandbox.
  • I've been using the stat sheet at Ramblinwreck.com[2].

Thanks, Ndenison talk 01:56, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will help but I personally don't care much for all the stats because they add so many tables and little prose. There's nothing to compare them to and you can't really garner much from them besides who was the leading rusher/passer/defender for the season, which can be remedied in a few sentences. I personally don't like putting stats in unless it's a special season (e.g. ACC/national title). Just my opinion. If you put 'em in, I'll update 'em.--Excaliburhorn (talk) 02:35, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source for Rankings

[edit]

Does wikipedia have a standard/policy for which rankings to choose for football? Should it be BCS, USA Today, AP, Harris, etc? Is there a policy on this somewhere so that it's uniform across all pages, and if so, where? ----Rodzilla (talk) 05:42, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe there's standard in the CFB Project. I've just used the coaches poll for the GT pages 'cause the Coaches were the last to give GT a title. I'm sure someone's come up with a standard but so few teams (maybe 4-5) are as well wikied as GT, there's not a lot to compare to.--Excaliburhorn (talk) 15:02, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've opened up a discussion on the project page - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_College_football#Policy_for_Which_Rankings_to_Use
