I will be reviewing this article. I'll give it a read through now and add any queries or issues below. Miyagawa (talk) 20:01, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Route to the final: Does the Panthers team have an article and can be linked?
  • Same with High Wycombe (although I presume it's not Wycombe Wanderers!).
  • Again with Highbury Union and Pilgrims.
  • Post match: I'm presuming that "absolute property" is a quote from somewhere, in which case it needs a quote following it directly.

That's the only queries I have. Good job so far and very close to GA. Miyagawa (talk) 20:54, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's unlikely that articles will be created about any of these clubs. Little is recorded about them other than details of their appearances in the FA Cup. None of them got past the second round and all had stopped entering by 1880. (It seems that Wycombe Wanderers took their name from the Wanderers club as a result of their 9–0 victory over High Wycombe - this is mentioned in the history of Wycombe Wanderers.) -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 06:38, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have corrected some of the scores in the "Route to the Final" section. There seems to be some confusion about the result of the first match between Wanderers and Barnes in the Third Round: both Warsop and Cavallini have it as 1–1 (which is what the 1877–78 FA Cup says) but FCHD has it as 2–2. Cavallini says that the reason that Wanderers were unable to defeat Barnes at the first attempt was because some key players (including Kinnaird) were missing. Should I add this to the article? -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 06:52, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would be a good addition. You could even go as far as saying that some sources show 1-1 while others show 2-2. Don't worry about the links for those other clubs then if they were short-lived, just wasn't sure if they were well known clubs in the early days that might have short articles like N.N. Club. I've added a ref immediately after the words "absolute property"..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 21:12, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
..........and added in the other bits discussed above as well -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 21:20, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good job on the article, meets all requirements of being a GA and I'm happy to promote. Miyagawa (talk) 23:42, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
