[edit]This book serves as a succinct guide to a set of representative monuments constructed under a sovereignty that endured for almost two centuries until its annexation into the Mughal Empire under Akbar in 1573. This book lays out helpful itineraries for visiting these refined specimens of sultanate architecture in Ahmadabad.[2]
Reception
[edit]The book had several events about it when it was published, notably a book launch at Jnanapravaha (Mumbai) and a discussion at Arthshila in Ahmedabad.[3][1] At the latter venue, the discussants were noted architects Neelkanth Chhaya and Riyaz Tayyibji.[4] The publishers themselves had organised a book launch online, with Parul Pandya Dhar and Samira Sheikh to talk about the book.[5]
