Son of Sardaar 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn. It is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Son of Sardaar. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Mrunal Thakur. Principal photography began in July 2024 and has taken place in Edinburgh,[1] London,[2] and Punjab.[3]

[edit]Ajay Devgn reprises his role from the prequel. Sanjay Dutt was initially meant to reprise his role, however he was unable to join the UK schedule due to his visa being rejected by the UK.[5][6] He was replaced by Ravi Kishan.[2] Dutt however confirmed that he was still apart of the film, but wouldn't be included in the UK schedule.[7][8] Vijay Raaz was signed but later dropped from the project.[9]
Principal photography took place in Edinburgh in July 2024 with a filming schedule reported at 50 days.[1][10] Filming later took place in the UK in London and at the Firth of Forth.[11][12] Filming also took place in Punjab, India.[3][4]
