The Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau is a constituent department of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government responsible for public safety and traffic order in Shanghai. This public security bureau is under the dual leadership of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, with 27 internal institutions, and the office is located at No. 128 Wuning South Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai.

History

The police agency of Shanghai International Settlement was the Shanghai Municipal Police Department, commonly known as the Shanghai International Settlement Police Station, which was established in 1854 and returned to China in July 1943. The police agency of Shanghai French Concession was the French Concession Police Station, which was established in 1857 and returned to China in July 1943.

In 1905, Susongtai Road planned to build a police station and invited overseas students who graduated from the Japanese police school to establish a police school. Shanghai thus became the first city in China to establish a police agency and a police school.

After the 1911 Revolution, the Shanghai Patrol General Bureau was renamed the Civil Affairs Bureau, which was divided into the Nanshi Police Office and the Zhabei Police Office.

In May 1913, the Shanghai Commercial Port Patrol Police Bureau and the Zhabei Patrol Police Bureau were merged to form the Jiangsu Songhu Police Department. In January 1914, the Songhu Land and Water Police Department was established, with Sa Zhenbing as the director. The Songhu Police Department was divided into two branches, Shanghai South and Zhabei. In July of the same year, the Songhu Land and Water Police Department was abolished, the branch was abolished, and it was reorganized into the Songhu Police Department.

After the establishment of the Shanghai Special Municipality in 1927, the Songhu Police Department was reorganized into the Shanghai Special Municipality Public Security Bureau, and the director Shen Yulin was changed to the director of the Public Security Bureau.

In 1930, it was adjusted to the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, and in 1937 it was renamed the Shanghai Municipal Police Department. In 1945, the Second Sino-Japanese War ended, and the National Government appointed Xuan Tiewu as the director of the Shanghai Municipal Police Department, responsible for taking over and reorganizing the Shanghai Municipal Police Agency of the Wang Jingwei regime.

In 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau was established.

The consumer then went to the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau for petitions many times between December 2020 and March 2021 to reflect this problem, but the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau stood by. It is very likely that there is a transfer of interests between Pacific Digital and the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, so the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau acted as its umbrella to cover up its criminal activities.
