Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Chess Championship

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Chess Championship is the annual individual chess championship of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The inaugural Tyrone Jack Memorial Open National Chess Championships was held on 17 December 2021. Chinedu Benjamin Enemchukwu finished first in a tournament field of six players to become the first national champion.[1]

The 4th Tyrone Jack Memorial Open National Chess Championships was held on 27-30 December 2024. Raymond Osakwe finished first with 8 year old Vedant Shetty secured the second spot, and the former champion Chinedu Benjamin Enemchukwu finished third.

Vedant Shetty also won the Male Youth category, and second was Le’ mar Abbott.Taking the Female Youth title was Arianna Balcombe. Second was Daria Bolgova. Copping the Women’s title was Rebecca Izuchukwu. Docking in second was Brinicia May, followed in third position by Ronnia Durham-Balcombe. The championships were sponsored by RE/MAX Results Realty, Mustique Company Ltd, and UWI Global Campus.[2]
