Qasr Al Hokm (Arabic: قصر الحكم) is a rapid transit station that serves the Blue and Orange lines of Riyadh Metro in the al-Qiri district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located south of the Qasr al-Hukm District.

Description

[edit]

Designed in 2012 by Snøhetta,[1] the station resembles a stainless-steel canopy resting on a large slanted wall that incorporates elements of Najdi architectural style.[2]

It covers an area of 19600 square meters and is considered to be on of the four main stations of Riyadh Metro.[3][4][5]

Qasr Al Hokm station precedes the Al Owd station and succeeds the Al Bat'ha station on the Blue Line. On the Orange Line, it comes before Al Hilla station and after the Courts Complex station.

The designs for the station were finalized in 2012 and construction work began in 2014. By 2015, it was reported that 60% excavations were completed on the site.[6] The Blue Line of the station was opened on December 1, 2024.
