- 1920 – A major tornado outbreak killed at least 224 people across the Southeastern United States. A devastating F4 tornado killed 88 people and injured 700 as it moved through Aberdeen, Mississippi and destroyed hundreds of homes near Cedarbluff and Starkville, Mississippi and Bexar and Waco, Alabama. Five other tornadoes on this day had death tolls in excess of 20.
