Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III (born February 8, 1960) was a Senator and a former President of the Philippines. Aquino is the only son of former President Corazon Aquino and former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr., and the brother of TV host and actress Kris Aquino. A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, he was wounded by rebel soldiers in a failed coup attempt during his mother's presidency. In 1998, he was elected to the House of Representatives as Representative of the 2nd district of Tarlac province in the 11th Congress of the Philippines. He was subsequently re-elected to the House in 2001 and 2004. In 2007, having been barred from running for re-election to the House due to term limit, he was elected to the Senate in the 14th Congress of the Philippines.

Benigno Servillano Aquino Aquino, Jr. (November 27, 1932August 21, 1983), popularly known as Ninoy Aquino or Benigno S. Aquino, Jr., was a former Philippine senator, governor and mayor and a leading oppositionist to the autocratic rule of Ferdinand Marcos. He was assassinated at the Manila International Airport (now named the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in his honor) upon returning home from exile in the United States. His death catapulted his widow, Corazon Aquino, to the limelight and subsequently to the presidency, replacing the 20-year-old Marcos regime.

Jose Rizal

José Protacio Mercado Rizal Alonso y Realonda, was a Filipino polymath, nationalist and the most prominent advocate for reforms in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era and its eventual independence from Spain. He is considered a national hero and the anniversary of Rizal's death is commemorated as a Philippine holiday called Rizal Day. Rizal's 1896 military trial and execution made him a martyr of the Philippine Revolution.

Brother Andrew Benjamin Gonzalez FSC (February 29, 1940 - January 29, 2006) was a linguist, writer, educator, and Lasallian Brother. He served as president of De La Salle University from 1979 to 1991 and from 1994 to 1998. From 1998 to 2001 he served as Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. After his term ended, he returned to De La Salle University as vice president for Academics and Research from 2001 to 2003 and as Presidential Adviser for Academics and Research from 2003 to 2005. Br. Andrew conceptualized the De La Salle University System and helped expand the range of Lasallian education in the Philippines. the Philippine has a major city called manila

As Education Secretary, he initiated the revision of the Basic Education Curriculum and placed a corruption-free procurement system which significantly reduced the costs of textbooks and supplies purchased by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. He initiated the changing of language of instruction to the lingua franca for the first three grades.

Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralín Marcos (September 11, 1917 – September 28, 1989) was the tenth president of the Philippines, serving from 1965 to 1986. In 1972, he declared martial law, which allowed him to stay in power until lifting it in 1981. He was elected the same year to another full term, which was marred by personal health issues, government mismanagement, political repression, human rights violations, and rampant graft and corruption. In 1986, he was re-elected for the fourth time, in a disputed snap election. As a result, that same year, he was removed from office peacefully by the "People Power" EDSA Revolution.

He has the distinction of being the last Philippine Senate President to be elected to the presidency and being the first president to be elected to two consecutive full terms.
