Palani Falls is a surge waterfall located in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India.[2][3]
Location
[edit]The waterfall, descending from a height of 150 m (492 ft),[4][3] is situated in Kullu district,[5] and lies at a distance of about 6 km (3.7 mi) north of the Bijli Mahadev Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva.[6][2][7] The waterfall is encircled by pine forests and rocky cliffs.[8]
Every year in March, a fair is held at the waterfall, when thousands of tourists and devotees gather to bathe in its waters, which are believed to be sacred.[9][2][10]
The waterfall is accessible by road. The nearest airport is Kullu–Manali Airport.[2]
