Nohl Laurence Williams is an American college football cornerback for the California Golden Bears. He previously played for the UNLV Rebels.

Early life

Williams attended Pacifica High School in Oxnard, California. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the UNLV Rebels.[1][2]

During Williams' first two seasons with the Rebels in 2020 and 2021, he totaled 58 tackles, five pass deflections, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery.[3] In 2022, he had a breakout season being named second-team all-Mountain West Conference after totaling 40 tackles, five pass deflections, three interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.[4] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Williams entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[5]

California

Williams transferred to play for the California Golden Bears.[6] In his first season with the Golden Bears in 2023, he totaled 53 tackles with two being for a loss, six pass deflections, two interceptions, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns.[7] In week one of the 2024 season, Williams notched an interception and an 80-yard kickoff return touchdown, as he helped California beat UC Davis.[8] In week two, Williams was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) defensive back of the week after making two interceptions in the Golden Bears win over Auburn.[9]
