Navdeep Singh (born 11 November 2000) is an Indian para-athlete and javelin thrower.[1] He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.[2] He has also been a bronze medalist at the World Championships.[3]
Personal life
[edit]Navdeep Singh hails from Panipat, Haryana, India.[4] His father was a farmer in the village and also ran a milk dairy in the city.
He did his graduation from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
Career
[edit]In 2017, Singh won the gold medal for India in the men's javelin F41 event at Asian Youth Para Games, Dubai.[5] He proceeded to win the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2021 in Dubai.[6][7]
Singh finished fourth in javelin throw F41 at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.[8] He is also a Income tax inspector.
