Monel Felix

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Monel "Mikano" Felix is a Haitian criminal and head of the Wharf Jeremie gang in Port-au-Prince.

Felix was banned from entering neighboring Dominican Republic in 2022.[1]

In 2024 he sought advice from a Vodoo priest about what he could do about the recovery of his sick child. The priest claimed that old people had used witchcraft to cause his child's illness. He then had his gang murder 110 people, especially older people impoverished Cite Soleil neighborhood.[2][3][4]

The majority of the victims were women and men over 60 years old, whose bodies were mutilated and burned in the street.[2] Gang members killed at least 60 people on one day and 50 the next day using machetes and knives.[1] Tight gang control in Thaiti, including the restriction of mobile phone use, limited residents' ability to share information about the massacre.
